My name is Amanda King, and I teach 8th grade ELAR at Childress Jr. High. I'm a 2008 graduate of Wayland Baptist University where I obtained a BA in English and Psychology. I am married to my wonderful husband, Chad, and we have two children, Chanda and Kolton, who both attend CHS. Currently, I teach 8th grade ELAR and Yearbook at CJHS. I love what I do and have fun doing it! My goal as a teacher is to make my students believe in themselves. All students are able to achieve anything that they set their minds to do. Not only do my students learn English skills to help them succeed academically, but I also teach life skills to help them grow into successful students and adults. I truly care about the young people that I see each day, and I look forward to them accomplishing many successes this year and in the future!
